I lit an incense stick a few moments ago — its smell being named after a goddess, though I can’t remember which. This shall force me to stay awake until I finish this blog entry, as I cannot go to sleep with fire burning in my home.
So it is now April, and — April being the cruellest month — dearest Vivienne and I are embarking upon a journey. Not just any journey, Dear Reader, but a most important, a most perilous journey — a journey during which Vivienne and I will write thirty poems each. April is, of course, National Poetry Month, and April is also, of course, NAPOWRIMO (I feel it’s more intimidating in all caps) — National Poetry Writing Month. Vivienne and I are going to write a poem a day during the entire month of April.
My dearest Vivienne invited me to journey with her, and for that I am grateful. I truly feel that Vivienne and I are going to turn NAPOWRIMO into NAPOWRIMOFA — National Poetry Writing Month of Fashion.
Honestly: how can we not?

Not only shall it be a NAPOWRIMOFA, we shall NAPOWRIMOFA like a NAPOWRIMOFO.
Seat belt fastened for perilous journey. Air bag, Diet Coke, and sugar free macaroons on hand.

Yes, yes! Hopefully we will not come down with brain fever, dysentery, or cravings for cigars.
